Werewolf rats are a type of pet rat with a unique genetic coat that causes them to continuously molt their fur in different, often symmetrical, patterns. These patterns can change every few days, making the rats visually striking. Werewolves were originally discovered in labs in the 1960s, they reappeared in the pet community in 2017 and are now bred by a select group of breeders. A Mischief of Pocket Puppies is proud to announce we are the first breeder of standard size Werewolves in Ontario. Release of the wolves into the pet community is planned for summer of 2026.
